My name is Morgan...aka Mighty Morgan. (One day I'll explain the "mighty" part) I'm a SAHM of an  energetic three year old, a mischievous two year old and a bouncing baby boy born this past October 2012. I'm lucky enough to be married to the most amazing, supportive  man who is also the absolute love of my life!

This idea behind this blog began one summer afternoon; a particularly humid, mid-July sweaty summer day. I discovered that I craved something other than the daily routine of being a SAHM.

As much as I love my kids and enjoy all the aspects of being a SAHM, there was a creative void in my life that desperately needed to be validated in some way. Realistically sitting down with pencil and paper or dragging out all my painting supplies with two very small kids children (babies really) was not going to happen anytime soon.

So I started where I was and used what I had to quell my inner cravings to create. When I decorated a cake for my daughter's first birthday I realized I had a passion for baking and decorating. The feeling was  small at first, but still present within me none the less. The intention of this blog originally started with the idea that it would be a place to track my baking and decorating adventures. But it has changed and evolved into something much more since my very first post.

When I started baking I had nothing to bake with, I used a good old wooden spoon and an old silver bowl I had stashed in the cabinet. I didn't even own a cupcake tin. At first I just used those aluminum foil wrappers from Reynolds.

That is why I always encourage people to start where you are, because had I not started at all I would have never discovered the diverse amount of creativity that sat waiting within me looking for a way out.

I don't have any formal training when to comes to cooking, baking or decorating. My biggest teacher in all of these areas has been and is my Mother, who seems to always have the answer I am looking for regardless of the question.....anything else I use the power of the internet and I network with others that have the same interest as I do.

In this journey I have found my old friend creativity and I have allowed our relationship to grow and blossom into the many different aspects of baking, decorating and graphic designing you may see on this blog. For one along the way I discovered I love making themed party printables, creating parties and photographing them. I am in no way, shape or form a party event planner, but I don't allow that to stop me from exploring my creative side.

I believe that if you have a desire to create and learn then you already have the necessary elements it takes to learn whatever it is you are seeking. Do what you can for where you are at and each time you do this you will discover  you get better and better; this has been my experience anyway. Sometimes all it takes is the encouragement and confidence that someone else has for you to allow you to bring what you have to the surface.

I have given myself a fie year time frame, which is when my littlest guy will be off into the great big world as he starts Kindergarten. My hope that in the period between now and then I can continue to grow this blog and the other social platforms I use in order to continue to create fun party printables, custom party packs and have others join in in my journey along the way!

I grew up with my Mom working from home and if all possible I want to offer my children the same level of comfort that I am always here. Now please don't start thinking I am some sort of suzy homemaker that sits home all day baking and creating in my gingham apron smiling and singing.  Most days are filled with the never ending adventures in Motherhood and juggling the responsibilities of a household and three small children that just want to have fun.

I am a firm believer that life is what you make it..good, bad or indifferent. I have had the very unique experience of being two very different people in this lifetime and will share that with you all at another time. For now I will just say thank goodness for second chances (third and fourth ones too!), cause's this girl was fortunate enough to get one and I did not squander it away.

I love interacting with all my readers and LOVE comments from you all, so please don't feel shy...you can ask me ANYTHING!

And please feel free to post any pictures of your creations to my facebook page...I love seeing what you create and it inspires others to try something that may normally wouldn't as well!
